On 16th June 2025, the Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Narayana Pharmacy College organized an awareness program in collaboration with the Nellore District Police to promote the Shakthi App – Your Safety Partner. The event aimed to educate students, especially women, about the importance of personal safety and how technology can be used to ensure quick access to help in emergencies.

Police officials demonstrated the features of the Shakthi App, which allows users to alert authorities and share their real-time location instantly during distress. The session emphasized the significance of digital empowerment and self-protection tools, particularly for women and children.

Students and faculty actively participated in the interactive session, which also addressed common safety concerns and provided tips on responding to risky situations. The collaboration highlighted the college’s ongoing commitment to creating a safe and informed campus environment for all.
